Class Rules Acknowledgement - Safety, Health, Environmental Services

Welcome to your virtual class at Georgia Tech – we are glad you are here! These class rules of acknowledgement are intended to verify the safety of all students, maintain the integrity of instruction and learning, and to verify an equitable learning environment. In order to ensure a quality virtual learning experience for all attendees, please review and acknowledge with your initials with each of the following policies and rules:

Course Title(Required)

1. I will not actively operate a motor vehicle while attending the course.(Required)

2. I understand that I am expected to treat the online learning experience as an in-person classroom experience – which means being present, attentive, and awake.(Required)

3. I understand that visual attendance for the duration of the course is mandatory. I understand this requires my video camera be on and I be in the frame, fully visible to the instructor and attendees for the duration of this course.(Required)

4. If I need to be off-camera for a short period of time where it would otherwise be distracting to the rest of the class, I am permitted to close the camera but am expected to promptly return.(Required)

5. If I need to be away from class/camera more than 15 minutes, I will email and/or direct message the instructor and/or facilitator of the Zoom.(Required)

If I have difficulty fully complying with these expectations – either by my own acknowledgement or as observed by the GT-OTIEC faculty – I understand I may be asked to leave the class and potentially receive an incomplete or non-pass for the virtual course. I understand I may be offered an alternative learning option in order to successfully complete the class.
